Free Five Elements Personality Test: What Element Are You?
This Chinese Five Elements-inspired quiz offers eight prompts for noticing your preferences and everyday rhythm.
For cultural exploration and personal reflection only; not a diagnosis or prediction. It is a mirror for reflection, not a prediction.
What does the Five Elements personality test measure?
This free 8-question quiz looks at everyday preferences — how you approach new ideas, handle stress, and recharge — and maps them to the five Chinese elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. It takes about 2 minutes, requires no email, and shows your full elemental balance as a chart.
The Five Elements (Wu Xing) come from traditional Chinese philosophy. Here they are used as a language for self-reflection: Wood for beginnings and growth, Fire for expression and warmth, Earth for steadiness and care, Metal for clarity and discernment, Water for depth and adaptability. The result is a mirror for reflection, not a prediction. It does not diagnose a condition or promise an outcome.
How is this different from a BaZi chart?
The quiz reflects stated preferences. A BaZi chart is arranged from a birth date and time. If you want the cultural background, read the BaZi guide. You can also try the free BaZi calculator, or see what the 12-page Personal Blueprint includes. The Blueprint is a self-reflection guide reviewed by a real person before delivery. It is not medical, financial, or predictive advice.
